About the role

Support and maintain integrated security systems across client locations throughout New York City. Reporting to the Director of Field Services, you will monitor, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software supporting access control, CCTV, visitor management, facial recognition, mobile access, and building network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Install, support, and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, and related security systems.
• Run, terminate, and test Ethernet and fiber cabling.
• Rack, mount, and interconnect security and network equipment, including UPS systems.
• Support system rollouts, upgrades, and migrations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to support on-time project delivery.
• Document completed work, follow standard procedures, and maintain equipment inventory.
• Handle data in accordance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Travel to client sites throughout New York City.

What you bring

• Local candidates only: applicants must currently reside in New York.
• Physical access control and video surveillance system experience is required.
• Background check and references are required.
• 2–4 years of experience in an installation or service-support environment, preferably in security systems.
• 2–4 years of hands-on access control experience, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of access control, CCTV, and network equipment.
• Experience with Mercury panels, basic programming, access control wiring, and complete door installations, including maglocks, electric strikes, cutouts, wiring, testing, and fire tie-ins.
• Comfort using power tools and working at heights when required; ability to follow OSHA and field safety protocols.
• OSHA 30 certification.

Software and technical skills

• 2–4 years of experience configuring and supporting computers, printers, phones, network switches, and related peripherals.
• Basic working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, NAS, and scripting or programming concepts.
• Ability to extract, analyze, and manipulate database information to produce reports.
• Familiarity with security industry software and strong software troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to learn new software platforms and emerging technologies.
